Bad News Good News Bad news....
Ugh. So, I was in a car accident recently and had to spend a bunch of time in the hospital because I broke my ankle and tore a bunch of ligaments up in my knees. So, my well meaning boyfriend brought me my DS and a bunch of my games to play, including Pokemon Diamond and Platinum. So over the course of the stay I don't end up playing very much (I spent most of my time sleeping and being high on morphine x.x), but when I'm finally done with surgery and have my final cast on, and I'm not having to be on morphine any more I'm lucid enough to play so I pull out my DS and my copy of Pokemon Platinum is gone! When my boyfriend came to visit the next day I asked him if he had seen it, but he said that he had packed it, and had been playing my other games, but we couldn't find Platinum anywhere. So, after getting back home we look through all of my hospital luggage and still can't find it. We check the case, not there. So, I figure one of us, or my family was moving stuff around in the hospital and it fell out of my case. boo. :( I wasn't terribly worried at first, I wasn't very far in the game, and it's easily replaceable, and in fact my boyfriend offered to replace it for me (he's so sweet). He even pushed me in my wheelchair to Game Stop. So we picked up a new copy and the guy gave me an Arceus figure :3 Which I have now sitting next to my Giratina figure from pre-ordering my original copy. But then I realized. I didn't remember whether I had already transferred over my Shaymin and Regigigas I had gotten from TRU over to Platinum from Diamond yet. As soon as the thought struck me I pulled out Diamond and checked my boxes, gone. I had already transferred them and now they were gone. sorry to lament here, but none of my friends know what I'm even talking about, and I know you guys would understand. Current Mood:  crushed |

X-Posted with some edits from FurryDrama_2 because it concerns a warning to artists. TLDR:
If you get a request from AngelofDarkness block and ignore for your own sanity. She will offer to pay and then turn around and give you excuses as to why she can't (and why you are ruining christmas just for asking) and maybes turn into "you promised" because apparently requests r srs bsns. I'm apparently not even the third artist she has done this to (though the first to report ones done through PM), links are provided below. Posting because I wish I had known and was lucky to get warning just before things went sour.

Generally, I don't believe in giving away art, and when I do it's typically sketches. When I'm in the mood I post journal and I usually let people give me characters and vague situations and I use them to warm up for paid stuff. I don't like specifics or detailed characters, if I'm unhappy with something I just skip over it. I always put a disclaimer that I do the fun ones and leave the eh ones, as I absolutely hate those overly complicated characters with zillions of piercings etc. And good god...what some people expect out of a free request O_O Mind boggling. However, for Christmas I thought I'd be generous since I usually only get a few and open requests, upgrading some randomly to full color pieces . Ah, but here apparently is my mistake. You see, some furries think that free full pieces are a cue to try to screw someone. Now, I've heard sob stories before (hell I was PMed several this round, one who thought I gipped him or something), and generally I ignore 'em, but this one takes the cake and just keeps getting better and better. When I posted this pinup of a dog in black stockings for EdwardElric1308, not less than 5 minutes later I receive this PM from a stranger called AngelofDarkness.( Ah the crazies. Always around this time o' year. )( Ah the crazies. Always around this time o' year. )On a different note to people that like getting requests: at least watch the person, it's so rude to have someone come out of the blue demanding free art. Also, the people that have the kinds of problems I pity don't throw them around to get free art. They're respectable people who do their damndest to pick up whatever broken pieces are left and move on with their lives when trouble strikes. Gah. Current Mood: annoyed |

Region locked events
I live in the UK and I want to import SoulSilver, in English, from the USA. However, a friend mentioned to me that I might not be able to get UK events on a USA cartridge - I know there isn't usually any kind of region locking on DS games but is this the case for Wifi events? Hey guys. You've been really helpful in the past, so I thought I'd come to you again with another couple questions. I've been playing my way through my Heart Gold import, and one of my favorite things is the interaction between Kotone and the first party Pokemon. It was what made Pokemon Yellow for me. Here's my question: obviously, the reactions are in Japanese and I can't read it. Is there a guide anywhere to the moods? I'd especially like to know what my Pokemon is asking me that results, when I reply with the first option (which I think is yes) in a giant red exclamation mark. I've gotten that a few times already. I also keep getting these random I don't know what they are from my Pokemon when I hit yes and a little green musical note appears above their heads. My second question involves the Pokewalker and those little treasure chests. I've found I can spend a really long time just transferring chests over to my cartridge, and I have no idea how to use the chest in the game, or what those chests really are. I'm guessing using the ROMs that are partially translated would be more helpful in that regard...but if anyone knows anything or could help me out, I'd really appreciate it. If not, I thank you for reading this. It might be one of those "wait until Nintendo releases the official English translation" deals. I'm just impatient and curious. Current Mood:  curious |

Yin of Hope and Yang of Disappointment
My story: this gal ( ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) modastrid) and I met through a community and hit it off, she was weird and cool and we both disliked the same people for the same reason (on a community) so we often PMed about that. Then we had a disagreement, mostly when I saw her boasting about something she made in an ebay-seller warning post. And that really turns me off. A lot. It shaded my opinion of her in a totally different light. Ego and boasting in artists who sell their work just squicks me, big time. But I decided to get past that, cause she still does some cool stuff. Then I saw her newest creations- animal pelts put into round necklace pendants (cabochons?) and I ordered one. It came with glue and dry skin sticking out of the top. I thought she had better crafstmanship than that. As a friend said to me: "visible glue is amatureish". I ordered a 2nd one (mind you these were ordered and shipped at the same time, I had not seen the poor craftsmanship of the 1st yet) custom-made. I wanted a The Lion King inspired piece and I asked her to do a yin yang symbol of dark lion pelt and light warthog pelt. I was assured twice that they lay flush together:Yeah they lay flat when they're glued down.I asked for clarification: ( long post is long ) |

Pokemon Cards to give away.

Pokemon hoodies!
I'm a little srapped for cash this month, so I thought I would open up some Pokemon Hoodie commissions. I've had some inquires about these before through my friends, so I thought I would share it with the community. Each one starts off at $45.00 each, which includes material, labor and free shipping costs (within the US only). I can ship international, but please allow shipping costs to be added in the final price. This is just the starting price though. For more complicated Pokemon, the price will go up depending on the complexity of the hoodie. All hoodies are made of 100% fleece. The pattern is made by me (usually a one-size-fits-all ranging from small - large). I can make them as big as you would like. Each hoodie takes between 5 - 8 hours to sew on average. These hoodies are sewn only by my self. I only accept Paypal. Please respond below if you are interested in commissioning one. Please give me the Pokemon, basic size (small, medium, large, etc.) Once the money is cleared through Paypal, I can start immediately on the hoodie. So I released five arboks in Wii Pokémon Rumble.
I totally forgot that Rumble only has Pokémon from generations one and four. So if a evolutionary line was extended in either Gen 2 or Gen 3, the extension isn't there. There's no Mudkip, and the Eevee line is actually missing Espeon and Umbreon. Anyways. I took my 5 Arboks and Released them, but only got an Ekans ticket, because Seviper is Gen 3. Maybe when the next version comes out? |

Riolu abilities?
So, I finally got my Riolu egg from Riley today (I'm playing through slowly because of all the breeding and training I've been doing on like twenty different monsters, and because I don't want to just blow through the game, but I digress). And I reset, and reset, and reset again until I could hatch a Riolu that was of Adamant nature. Finally got one, so phew there... I'm wondering about its ability, though. The first couple of times I tried hatching, it had Steadfast as its ability, but after that, it kept hatching with Inner Focus instead. The competitive moveset guide on GameFAQs (this one right here: http://www.gamefaqs.com/portable/ds/file/946308/49990) suggests the former as the better ability to have. But, I'm not so sure, and I don't really want to reset a dozen more times just to try to get another Adamant-natured puppy with that particular ability. Is Steadfast really that worth it? Both abilities deal with flinching; Steadfast triggers a Speed boost after experiencing a flinch and Inner Focus just prevents you from getting one in the first place. Is the use of something like Focus Punch so prevalent, or is having a 150% Speed boost that wonderful/necessary, to warrant dealing with one or more missed turns while battling? I'd really like some input before I go deciding anything, as I'm kind of torn between just saving the game and moving on or resetting again in hopes I'll get something better. Thoughts, anybody?
